About Rim Country Overland
Rim Country Overland is more than just camping, truck builds, or weekend adventures - it’s the result of a lifelong connection to the outdoors and over 40 years of exploring Arizona. Born and raised in Arizona, some of my earliest memories were camping along the Mogollon Rim at Woods Canyon Lake with my parents. Year after year, we would head up to Spillway Campground, and without realizing it at the time, that’s where my love for camping, adventure, and exploring the outdoors truly began.
As the years went on, camping slowly evolved into exploring farther, packing differently, and finding new ways to experience the outdoors. In 2021, I took my first solo trip and started getting out more frequently. Over time, my setup became simpler, my trips became longer, and eventually I stumbled across a few Overland YouTube channels. That’s when it hit me - I had been overlanding long before I even knew what overlanding was.
Watching those creators share their adventures and bring viewers along for the journey inspired me to do the same. That’s really what Rim Country Overland is all about. This was never meant to be some polished “influencer” brand or a channel built around showing off the fanciest gear. While I genuinely enjoy the gear side of the hobby and love building and modifying the rig, the focus has always been on the experience itself - the trails, the campfires, the scenery, the wrong turns, the lessons learned, and the memories made along the way.
More than anything, I want people to feel like they’re part of the adventure with me. Whether it’s an incredible view, a trail that didn’t quite go as planned, or just sitting around camp after a long day exploring, the goal has always been to share the experience in a real and relatable way. Some of the best adventures happen when you stop overplanning, take the back road, and simply explore more.
Arizona will always be home and will always be a huge part of this journey. The Mogollon Rim and the forests of northern Arizona helped shape who I am and ultimately inspired the name Rim Country Overland itself. But there’s still so much left to explore - and this entire journey is still very much a work in progress.
About Overland Crafted
Overland Crafted grew naturally out of the same passions that helped create Rim Country Overland in the first place - creativity, adventure, building things by hand, and a genuine love for the outdoors. Long before Overland Crafted became connected to the channel, Mrs. Rim Country was already creating custom handmade items for friends, family, and customers through Etsy. It started with making tutus for our girls and eventually expanded into custom apparel, signs, home decor, vinyl creations, hair accessories, and more.
What began as a small rolling table in our living room slowly turned into an entire creative workspace filled with vinyl cutters, heat presses, laser equipment, and more supplies than we probably care to admit. She’s always loved taking an idea and turning it into something real - especially when it involves unique challenges, custom requests, and creating something people can connect with personally.
As Rim Country Overland continued to grow, the two worlds naturally started blending together. Mrs. Rim Country started creating custom overland-themed shirts and designs that began showing up throughout the videos and adventures. Before long, we realized there were probably other people looking for trail-inspired apparel and custom creations that actually felt connected to the lifestyle and community we love being part of.
Today, Overland Crafted serves as a creative extension of Rim Country Overland and has become another way for us to share the hobby we both love. Together, we collaborate on ideas inspired by the outdoors, overlanding, camping, exploration, and the adventures that continue to shape this journey. Whether it’s apparel, decals, laser creations, or custom ideas that start as nothing more than a rough concept, the goal is always the same - create something unique, personal, and inspired by the adventure.
